Full-Mouth Reconstruction

Over the course of your life, a lot can happen to your teeth. For many reasons, teeth can become worn down, chipped, discolored, or even broken. Teeth can be lost, leading other teeth to drift out of position and open up unsightly gaps. You may have silver amalgam fillings that detract from your smile. Or your enamel may have thinned, making your teeth look dull and dingy no matter how much you whiten.

You might think that there’s nothing that can be done to restore your teeth and your smile. At one time that would have been true, but not today.

Tulip Tree Dental is proud to offer our patients Full-Mouth Reconstruction. This process allows you to select from the wide array of dental services we offer to get the smile you’ve always wanted and a fully functional mouth. In consultation with Dr. Hurcomb, you’ll create your own personalized treatment plan!

First Steps

Your journey to the smile of your dreams begins with a consultation. Call our South Bend, IN dental office at 574-208-5668 to schedule an appointment. Or, use our online scheduling application to send us a message. You can select the day and time that works best for you.

During your consultation, you’ll have X-rays and intraoral imaging performed, and Dr. Hurcomb will perform an examination. Armed with in-depth information about the current state of your teeth, including any structural problems, the next step is to create a treatment plan to meet your particular goal.

We’ll recommend specific treatments, tell exactly how they’ll contribute to the smile you want, and answer any questions you may have about the treatments. It’s your choice to select specific treatments or not. We won’t try to sell you anything, and we’ll tell you what effect your choices will have on the length of time it will take to complete treatment. For instance, some procedures may require a healing period before we proceed further. Sometimes, we can complete more than one procedure during a single session.

We also have financing options to help you realize the smile you’ve always wanted, or the ability to eat the foods you love confidently and without discomfort.

The Reconstruction Process

For every patient, there’s a unique sequence of procedures that will best complete their treatment. If you have one or more missing teeth, those teeth will need to be brought back into their proper alignment. At some point in that process, we may fabricate a dental bridge to replace the missing tooth or recommend a dental implant with a crown to complete the restoration.

Your treatment course may be as short as a single day or may require several months. For instance, dental bonding can often be completed in just one session. On the other hand, dental veneers will completely cover any discolored teeth and can even help to shape your smile. The veneer process takes at least two appointments as does having a bridge installed or a dental implant.

We’ll proceed at your pace and according to your schedule. And we’ll take care to ensure your comfort throughout the process. Depending on your needs, we offer music to listen to or TV to watch during your procedures, warmed blankets, and conscious sedation options, including inhaled and oral sedation. Our goal is to make your experience as calm and stress-free as possible.

Once You’ve Reached Your Goal

At the end of your Full-Mouth Reconstruction, you’ll walk out of our dental office with the smile of your dreams and with your ability to eat comfortably restored. We want to help you keep your looking just as good for the rest of your life and your teeth in their best possible condition. By scheduling regular checkups and professional cleanings, we’ll help you avoid any future issues.

And if your new smile eventually needs a bit of brightening up, we offer several options for professional teeth whitening. You can choose from at-home and in-office teeth whitening using KöR whitening systems. Drugstore whitening systems simply can’t come close to the results you can achieve through professional whitening.
